Showing a Little Love on Social Media

Valentine’s Day is the perfect time for a university to show love to its campus stakeholders. UT is able to take advantage of the holiday by using the hashtag #VOLentine.
 
This year we decided to have fun by posting a few haiku that Vols could share with their significant others. This campaign had high engagement rates. People commented and tagged their friends and partners. Others shared it on their own accounts as a way to celebrate the holiday.

 


 

Our social media manager created the haiku words. We then sent it to one of our art directors to great the graphics. The outcome was a success.

 

I want to give a quick shout-out to the University of Georgia. Their social media team created Valentine’s Day GIFs. They sent tweets to each of the SEC schools wishing them a Happy Valentine’s Day. What a great way to engage with the SEC family!
